Liu Jie (China), an arts and crafts artist, inheritor of traditional armour‑making techniques, senior Armour Conservator, and a million‑followers‑level popular science creator specialising in historical military equipment. He is the founder and team leader of the Han Army Squad Historical Narrative Group.

He has devoted himself to ancient armour production, cultural relic conservation and restoration, and the reconstruction of military‑equipment culture. He is proficient in manufacturing formal armours of dozens of dynasties. He has long undertaken ancient armour conservation and physical reconstruction projects for museums across China, and is passionate about cultural‑museum‑related public‑welfare initiatives.

His domestic cooperative institutions include the Shanhaiguan Great Wall Museum, Dongguan Yuan Chonghuan Museum, Luoyang Museum, Hangzhou Moganshan Sword Museum, Haibei Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture Ethnic Museum (Qinghai), and Xinjiang Military Museum. His overseas partner is the Yekaterinburg Armour Exhibition Hall in Russia.

His works have been featured in special reports by mainstream media including People’s Daily, CCTV.com and Sichuan Daily, and received exclusive coverage from Xinhua News Agency. He was invited by the Cyberspace Administration of China to exhibit traditional Chinese armour. His series of traditional‑style armour works were used in historical documentaries co‑produced with China Central Newsreel and Documentary Film Studio, where he served as historical consultant. For the Qi’s Army segment of the 2026 CCTV Spring Festival Gala, he was responsible for armour reconstruction and historical guidance.

He participated in armour and military‑equipment production for films including Dunhuang Heroes and Creation of the Gods. In the gaming industry, he has collaborated with domestic Jinyiwei‑themed games, Tencent and NetEase. He delivered special lectures on armour culture at Tencent’s headquarters. He has worked with Peking University, Jiayuguan Research Institute and other academic institutions to popularise traditional Chinese military‑equipment culture.
