Payment Policy
This policy explains JIA SHOP payment methods, transaction currencies, the full-payment requirement for Custom Orders, refund processing, and payment disputes. We use Stripe to process online payments. Stripe is a payment service provider and is not the seller of the armor.
1 Payments Through Stripe
Customers pay through one of the following:
- Stripe Checkout;
- A Stripe Payment Link; or
- Another Stripe payment page supplied by us.
Available credit cards, debit cards, and other payment methods depend on the customer's country, currency, order value, and the options then offered by Stripe.
Payment may require:
- Bank authorization;
- 3D Secure authentication;
- Address verification; or
- Another identity or fraud-prevention check.
We do not directly store complete payment-card numbers on our website server.
2 Payment for Ready Made Products
Unless the Order Confirmation states otherwise, Ready-Made Products require payment of 100% of the order amount before order acceptance and dispatch.
The product price includes one standard international shipment but excludes:
- Destination-country import duties;
- VAT;
- GST;
- Customs-clearance charges;
- Carrier duty-advancement fees; and
- Other import costs.
3 Payment for Custom Products
Unless a quotation or Order Confirmation expressly states otherwise, every Custom Product requires payment of 100% of the total order amount before detailed design, material procurement, or production scheduling begins.
We do not use a default deposit-and-balance arrangement. No balance payment is due after completion.
Full payment confirms the customer's acceptance of:
- The total price;
- The preliminary customization scope;
- Inclusion of standard international shipping in the price;
- The customer's responsibility for import charges; and
- The Custom Order cancellation restrictions that apply after production begins.
Payment alone does not constitute approval of the final measurements and design.
A Custom Product enters production only after:
- The customer has paid 100% of the order amount;
- All required information has been supplied;
- The final measurements and specifications have been approved in writing; and
- The customer has authorized material procurement or production in writing.
4 Order Review and Acceptance
A successful payment does not necessarily mean that the order has been finally accepted.
We may review:
- Payment risk;
- The delivery address;
- Product requirements;
- Production feasibility; and
- Destination import restrictions.
If we cannot accept the order and no customer-authorized custom work, procurement, or production has begun, we will return the payment to the original payment method.
If a payment fails verification, is reversed, appears unauthorized, or is identified by Stripe as high-risk, we may suspend or cancel the order and request another lawful payment method.
5 Transaction Currency and Bank Charges
The order is charged in the currency shown at checkout, on the Stripe payment page, or in the Order Confirmation.
If the customer's card or bank account uses another currency, the issuing bank or payment provider may:
- Apply its own exchange rate;
- Charge a foreign-exchange fee;
- Charge a cross-border transaction fee; or
- Apply a different exchange rate to a later refund.
We do not control those rates or charges.
6 Refund Processing
An approved refund is:
- Submitted through Stripe;
- Returned to the original payment method; and
- Calculated in the original transaction currency.
The time required for the refund to appear is determined by Stripe, the card network, the issuing bank, and the payment method.
We do not automatically charge a refund fee merely because Stripe does not return the original processing charge to us.
However, where permitted by law, documented actual amounts may be deducted under the Returns and Exchanges Policy or Custom Order Policy, including:
- Completed customer-specific design or services;
- Dedicated materials that cannot reasonably be used for another order;
- Completed labor;
- Return transportation;
- Storage;
- Customs charges;
- Reduction in product value; and
- Other reasonable actual costs caused by the customer's responsibility.
Because bank exchange rates may change, the refund received in the customer's domestic currency may differ from the amount originally paid in that currency. This is not a short refund if we submitted the correct amount in the original transaction currency.
7 Payment Disputes
If a customer believes there is a problem with a payment, order, shipment, or refund, the customer should first contact us through the email address used for the order. We will provide the order status and a reasonable resolution.
Starting a card dispute does not automatically:
- Cancel the order;
- Cancel Custom Production that has already begun;
- Alter the agreed shipping responsibility;
- Alter return responsibility; or
- Alter responsibility for import duties and customs clearance.
When responding to a payment dispute, we may submit to Stripe, the acquiring institution, issuing bank, or card network:
- Order information;
- Policy acceptance records;
- Approved measurements and designs;
- Customer communications;
- Production and completion photographs;
- Shipping and tracking records;
- Proof of delivery; and
- Return and refund records.
Nothing in this section limits the customer's lawful right to raise a legitimate dispute with the card issuer.
8 Applicable Law and Contact
Nothing in this policy limits any non-waivable rights available under applicable consumer law.
For payment, invoice, or refund questions, contact us from the email address used for the order:
