The Han-dynasty tubular-sleeved iron armor unearthed from the tomb of Liu Sheng, Prince Jing of Zhongshan. Its iron plates were forged from wrought iron and assembled by overlapping lacing following Han‑dynasty lamellar‑armor craftsmanship, of which the edge were neatly polished. The entire suit adopts a tubular-sleeved design with shoulder-protecting tubular sleeve structures, strung together from more than 1,800 iron plates. Fitted to the torso, the body of the armor balances mobility and protective capability. It is a combat armor for senior military officials in the Western Han Dynasty, representing the top-tier iron-armor manufacturing of early Han and serving as a classic extant specimen of Han-style armor.
