Tang-Style Armor of the Guiyi Army

The figure of warriors of the Guiyi Army from the late Tang Dynasty        It is reproduced from the ancient mural The Procession of Zhang Yichao.Assembled from lamellar scales, this configuration of straight‑cut armour grants considerable mobility. It features more than 2,000 iron scales of refined iron,which scales vary in size across different body segments and are finished in blue‑brown colourways. The full set comprises body armour, pauldrons and helmet. The scales measure 0.8 mm in thickness, reaching a maximum of 2 mm, and weigh over 20 kg.
